Tobun recently spoke to students and faculty at Portsmouth University during a dynamic talk alongside fellow business leaders Tim Campbell, Dr Samantha Tross, and Nishma Patell Rob. Speaking on the theme “Minor Setback, Major Comeback,” Tobun shared his journey of resilience, innovation, and success with the host of the event Karen Blackett OBE.
As the CEO of GV Group, a global logistics company, and ROUTD Technology, a tech platform built for distribution and warehousing, Tobun has built an impressive career. In his talk, he reflected on challenges he faced along the way and the strategies he employed to turn setbacks into opportunities for growth.
“Life will throw challenges at you, but how you respond makes all the difference,” Tobun told the audience. His speech emphasised the importance of determination, adaptability, and a focus on giving back to the community —principles that have been foundational to his success.
Following the keynote, there was a Q&A session, where students asked questions about the guest speakers' careers, their industries, and the role of philanthropy in business.
Tobun’s commitment to sharing his experiences and insights is driven by a desire to inspire others, perfectly aligning with Portsmouth University’s mission to empower students for success in their personal and professional journeys.
