Tevin Tobun has earned a place in Powerlist Magazine’s prestigious annual ranking of the most influential Black Britons for the seventh consecutive year.
His continued recognition highlights his significant impact across business, culture, and society, solidifying his status as a prominent leader and entrepreneur in the UK.
Tobun’s nomination places him alongside a distinguished group of individuals who are making waves across various sectors, including business, finance, arts, technology, and media. Other notable nominees include Bernard Mensah, President of International at Bank of America, Afua Kyei, Director at the Bank of England, Michelin-starred chef Adejoké Bakare, and actor Damson Idris. Together, these influential figures are shaping industries and inspiring future generations.
The Powerlist, an annual publication that has been published for over 15 years, seeks to highlight professional role models of African and African Caribbean heritage who have made an impact on their respective fields.
Tobun’s recognition comes in the category of Business, Corporate Execs, Financiers, and Entrepreneurs, showcasing his outstanding achievements over the past year. Most recently, he had a successful first year trading with his new venture, ROUTD Technology, providing micromart services to Compass Group, the world’s largest contract caterer, alongside vending solutions to Amazon in the US.
ROUTD, a cutting-edge tech platform utilising AI and machine learning, is disrupting multiple sectors including vending, warehouse management, and distribution. Through its data-driven approach, the platform enhances visibility, efficiency, and accountability for all involved which ensures a more streamlined approach to operations is taken.
2024 also saw Tobun receive two honorary doctorates—one from the University of East London and another from Middlesex University. Both institutions acknowledged his ongoing contributions to business and industry, as well as his commitment to social responsibility and philanthropy.
